Comments, Tags, and Collaboration

Collaborate on records using comments, replies, visibility, tags, and shared context.

Comments, Tags, and Collaboration

Kestrio supports collaboration directly on important records so context stays attached to the work.

Comments

Comments can be used on records such as:

  • Accounts.
  • Projects.
  • Phases.
  • Milestones.
  • Tasks.
  • Tickets.
  • Incidents.

Use comments for:

  • Status notes.
  • Questions.
  • Decisions.
  • Blockers.
  • Follow-ups.

Comment Visibility

Comments may support different visibility levels depending on the record and module.

VisibilityUse it for
PublicInformation that can be shared broadly.
ProjectProject-team context.
InternalInternal-only notes.

Choose internal visibility for sensitive delivery, finance, or staffing context.

Replies and Editing

Comments can support replies, edits, and emoji reactions. Portal contacts can author comments on records they can see.

Use replies when the discussion belongs under one decision or question. Add a new comment when starting a new topic.

Tags

Tags help classify records across modules.

Use tags for:

  • Risk types.
  • Customer segment.
  • Billing status.
  • Workstream.
  • Priority theme.
  • Internal categorization.

Tags can have names, colors, and descriptions. Create them inline on a record. They can be applied to projects, phases, milestones, tasks, accounts, contacts, time, invoices, credit notes, expenses, assets, incidents, tickets, and agile items such as epics, sprints, and backlogs.

Good Tagging Practices

  • Keep tag names short.
  • Use consistent colors.
  • Avoid duplicate tags with similar names.
  • Review old tags periodically.
  • Use tags to support filtering and reporting.
