Projects

Projects are the main place where client delivery work is planned, tracked, and reviewed.

Open Projects from the main sidebar.

What a Project Contains

A project can include:

  • Account/client.
  • Status and health.
  • Start and end dates.
  • Billing type and rate card.
  • Phases and milestones.
  • Tasks and dependencies.
  • Project team members.
  • Time entries.
  • Expenses.
  • Invoices.
  • Conversations and files.
  • Status updates.
  • Client portal visibility.

Project detail tabs can include Overview, Insights, Tasks, Plan, Timeline, Time, Milestones, Budget, Team, Resources, Files, Emails, Conversations, Portal, and Activity.

Retainer and subscription support can include hours, fees, periods, and rollover. Configure these on the project settings page.

Project Status and Health

Project status describes the lifecycle stage, such as active, on hold, completed, or cancelled.

Project health describes delivery condition, such as on track, at risk, or off track.

SignalUse it when
On trackWork is progressing as expected.
At riskScope, timeline, budget, staffing, or quality may be affected.
Off trackIntervention is needed.
On holdWork is paused and should not be treated as active delivery.
CompletedDelivery is finished.

Budgets

Each project can have fee, hours, and total budgets, a date range, and 80% / 100% alerts.

The portfolio view at /projects/budget shows burn across projects: over, at risk, on track, or no budget.

Capture planned vs actual baselines from a report viewer with Capture baseline. There is no separate baselines page under Projects.
