Start and Complete a Sprint

Use this workflow when delivery work should run in a time-boxed iteration.

Before You Start

Confirm that:

• 4DX Planning is enabled.
• Sprints are enabled in Settings > 4DX Planning.
• The projects exist.
• You have permission to manage sprints.

Create and Start

1. Open 4DX Planning.
2. Create a sprint.
3. Select projects, dates, and estimation model.
4. Add tasks from a backlog or create them on the sprint.
5. Approve the sprint if draft approval is required.
6. Start the sprint.

Work the Board

1. Open the sprint Board tab.
2. Group by status, assignee, priority, or epic.
3. Drag tasks between status columns.
4. Record standups on active sprints.

Complete

1. Complete the sprint.
2. Send unfinished work to the backlog or another sprint.
3. Optionally add a retrospective.

Troubleshooting

If Start is unavailable:

• The sprint may still need approval.
• Check that status is planned.

If drag-and-drop does not work:

• Group by status.
• Confirm the sprint is not completed or cancelled.
